During this extraordinary and humbling time one can only wish for a healthier body, and the same applies to your favorite four-legged friends. But exercising doesn’t necessarily need to mean being stuck in the gym on top of a treadmill. Here are some fun and entertaining exercises you can enjoy with your dog without having to worry about social distancing rules!
Dogs love the great outdoors just as much as you do, whether it be an intense hike or a relaxing stroll along the beach. Take your dog along on your next adventure and be adventurous together!
Most dogs are naturals in the water. Being a low-impact exercise, swimming is also great for dogs with joint problems. Catch the tail of summer and spend a sunny afternoon with you dog either on the beach or at a swimming pool. Don’t forget a life jacket to help your dog stay in the water longer for an optimum cardio workout!
As old-school and boring as it sounds, fetch can in fact be pretty fun if you shake up your dog’s routine. Alternate between balls, Frisbees or even some of her favorite toys to keep you dog on her toes. If the environment allows, you can also make her run uphill or even toss the ball into the water!
